General discussion: upgrade to newest release of Angular (or similar)

niViz is still based on Angular 1. This made it quite cumbersome to implement issue #658 (closed) while the latest release of Angular would provide nice solutions.

Indeed, updating to Angular 9 (or 10) would allow dreaming of a 'drag and drop' solution for creating/recording snow profiles.

Requires a major investment though.
