Notarized binaries

MacOS and Microsoft Windows make it increasingly difficult to install third party software. The users are strongly encouraged to only installed applications that have been signed, installing anything else is now quite tedious. Here are the steps to get our binaries signed / notarized:

• On MacOs: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/security/notarizing-macos-software-before-distribution

Please note that this is slow, tedious and burdensome for the developers...
